• 115 horses had radiographs taken of the thoracolumbar spine during January 2008 to December 2009
• 74 cases were available for follow-up

Results: 89% (66) had positive outcome to ESWT treatment (1,000-2,000 pulses at Energy Level 6)

Length of treatment efficacy: 30% (22) of horses improved for 2-4 months, 28% (21) improved for 4-6 months, and 31% (23) improved for greater than 6 months
