Meet Our Team
Trudy Gage – Territory Manager
Trudy was born and raised near Lake Huron in Bad Axe, Michigan (the tip of the thumb on the Lower Peninsula) and still makes her home there on a small horse farm. Trudy spent a large chunk of her professional life as an international flight attendant, and once participated in an ‘around the world’ trip flying our troops. The trip started in Detroit and went to Amsterdam, Diego Garcia (in the middle of the Indian Ocean where the crew stayed in base housing), Guam, and Seattle before finishing back in Detroit.
After retiring from the airline industry, Trudy followed her passion, animal health, but she continues to spend the majority of her time traveling to work with veterinarians around the country and Canada. She has been with PulseVet since 2009 and was recently honored as Territory Manager of the Year for the second year in a row.
Trudy began showing horses in the local 4H program in High School and has owned horses her entire life. She eventually showed horses at a national level, finishing third in the nation and top ten in the world twice. She is a certified riding instructor, coaching amateur and youth riders to many trips to the winners circle, and hosted an informative and entertaining local radio show called “Horsing around with Trudy.” She has also earned several judge’s cards, and enjoys judging horse shows around the country. This year she is preparing her yearling, a quarter horse gelding by Too Sleepy to Zip, for the lunge line classes and hopes to make their debut at one of the fall futurities.
She enjoys spending time with her horses and her Jack Russell Terrier, Lily, and is also involved with local charities and fund raising for scholarships and animal rescue.
Liz Rigby – Territory Manager
Liz was born and raised in Camden, Delaware and started riding horses at age five. Sharing a house with four brothers, her parents sympathized with her and she received her first horse “Gem” for her 12th birthday. After high school she decided to pursue a career in the equine industry which led her to Lexington, Kentucky.
While attending the University of Kentucky, Liz was a four-year member for the UK Equestrian Team, a regional qualifier and a senior team captain. She also enjoyed supporting (in an obsessive manner) the UK basketball team, and attending the Keeneland races. When not participating in UK sporting events she interned at the Maker’s Mark Secretariat Center located at the Kentucky Horse Park, re-schooling Off The Track Thoroughbreds.
Liz’s experience also includes working in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry as a sales representative, where she excelled at offering exceptional customer service to her equine and canine clients. Her background and passion makes her a great addition to the PulseVet sales team.
Ainhoa Garica – International Business Manager
Ainhoa is originally from the Basque region of Spain, which is known for exceptional Rioja wines and outstanding cuisine. She studied international business and relocated to Munich in her twenties. After many years of experience working in the medical device industry, she joined PulseVet because of her love of animals (she is an equestrian and also has two yellow Labrador Retrievers). She is fluent in English, German and Spanish and has a strong interest and knowledge of diverse cultures which has helped PulseVet to open many new markets. Ainhoa likes to spend her free time outdoors, especially in the Austrian Alps.
Adrian Lock – Chief Executive Officer
Adrian was born in a suburb of London, England and ‘crossed the pond’ to the U.S. when his family emigrated here in 1967. After completing an engineering degree at Vanderbilt University on a Navy ROTC scholarship, he spent 8 years as a nuclear engineer and submarine driver before entering the world of medical device and biotechnology sales and marketing. As Director of Global Marketing with CryoLife, he helped launch BioGlue ® Surgical Adhesive in 2001. BioGlue is a life-saving product now recognized as the leading surgical adhesive in worldwide clinical use for indications in cardiovascular, neurological and soft tissue surgeries. As Vice-President of Sales and Marketing with Sanuwave, Adrian devoted his energy and resources to the development and commercialization of shock wave technology. It was here that he began working in veterinary medicine, allowing him to combine his training and background with his lifelong passion for animals. In 2009 he participated in the split of the veterinary division from Sanuwave to form PulseVet, and has been the company’s CEO since 2013. Adrian is an avid (obsessive?) guitar player, and he enjoys fitness/outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with his wife, four daughters, (female) dog, ‘Ruby’, and (female) cat ‘Itty Bitty Kitty’.
Mike Newton – Technician
Michael joined PulseVet in 2011 after working for 10 years in the bio-medical industry. Prior to his career in the bio-medical industry Michael served his country in the Air Force where he maintained advanced weapons systems on fighter jets. Michael has an AS degree in Electronics and oversees all of the VersaTron repairs. Michael loves working with anything electronic or mechanical.
Katie Rice – Sales and Marketing Associate
Katie grew up in Richmond, Virginia and began her passion for horses when her parents let her start riding lessons at age 7. She got her appendix Quarter Horse “Simply Elegant” aka “Ellie” on Christmas morning when she was 14 years old and they began a show career on the Virginia hunter/jumper circuit up until and while attending Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia. Katie graduated Cum Laude in 2004 and took a position as the Riding Director for an equestrian camp in Palmyra, Virginia until she relocated to Charlottesville for a position as a Process Analyst and then an Inside Sales Representative at a medical software company.
Katie joined PulseVet in November of 2010 after learning about the company when Ellie was treated with the VersaTron. Between her passion for animals and her firsthand experience of the positive benefits of shock wave, moving to Georgia to assume the position as our Sales/Marketing Associate was the perfect decision.
According to Katie “The best part about working at PulseVet is being involved with something that you are truly passionate about. I love interacting with all of our clients on a daily basis and helping to ensure they are getting the maximum benefit from having our technologies at their clinics.”
Outside of work Katie enjoys riding, working out, volunteering at a local horse rescue, being involved with her local church, and spending time with her two rescue pups, Finn and Maia, and her husband, Evan.
